CHANGING THE FUTURE OF WORK

Social scheduling for the enterprise

ShiftMe’s goal was to offer a solution for hourly workers to easily get shift coverage and swap shifts across multiple locations. At face value the problem ShiftMe was solving seemed simple. However, there were complex intricacies that needed to be woven into the app based on labor laws, management approvals, and corporate usage.

OUR STRATEGY

We focused on features that would be useful for all levels of users

ShiftMe had a hierarchy of 3 views within the app – employees, managers, and corporations. BeanMachine knew that in order to achieve success the best approach would be to front-load the research and design strategy to ensure that each specific user could use the app based on their unique roles at a company.
